It's the final countdown

This is a little glimpse of the final step.... the blood test slip for tissue typing.

It's the final step in the process this Wednesday morning. So, by Wednesday night I'll be on the active waiting list for a double lung transplant.

So many things to think about.
So many things to plan.
So many things to organise.

I'm a bit of a control freak, so it's going to be difficult to NOT be in control of what happens in the future.

Two sleeps...

Wow, Cam .... great that you'll finally be on that active list, but I can totally understand how not being in control can be scary! Keeping my fingers crossed that you don't have to wait too long.

must be quite scary and exciting at the same time.

Wow! I really hope that you don't have to wait too long, but long enough so you can get your head around it all first. I can totally get the control thing too, after taking control of your health for so long, to then leave it all in someone elses hands, very scary. You'll be fine though, I just know it.

That is wonderful Cam. I did have a little giggle about the control freak thing - I am an events co-ordinator by day and I know exactly what you mean - I like to have my "i"'s dotted and "t"'s crossed..... But you will be fine - It will all fall into place for you.

Hugs - Fee X

Wow, oh so close to the next step! Good luck with the blood testing and I hope that your wait is not very long, although there is the other side of the equation: a very generous donor. Many good wishes to you and many good wishes to the ultimate donor and their family.
I can't help but be excited for you :-)
